Migraine And Sore Throat

Trecento - the Zack Snyder [2007]

One of the most epic historical nonsense and what he sees three hundred Spartans against the entire Persian army, had been transposed on the card by the brilliant mind of Frank Miller, assisted by the colors of the historic collaborator Lynn Varley. Centuries after the historical event in question, and nine years after the work of Miller, we think Zack Snyder to give fame - this time on the big screen - the epic of those three hundred warriors.
Persian Empire led by King Xerxes is expanding. A messenger asks King Leonidas, ruler of the free people of Sparta, their peaceful submission, as attested by an annual tribute of earth and water to pour the new god-king. Leonidas can perhaps accept that? Like hell! Kill the messenger, it takes three hundred and pompatissimi depilatissimi soldiers and left for the time of Thermopylae, where kill by sword and jokes to the effect 'servants' enemy of the empire. A company committed suicide, but that will give them the glory - and with it immortality - that every Spartan craving.
Snyder is, admittedly, a fanboy of works of this kind. And as such, can boast an excellent knowledge of the starting material. Too bad that knowledge alone is not enough, and this film shows it in full.
replaced by the epic and highly tamarraggine - which is not necessarily bad, but the end result would personally prefer the first option. Gerald Butler can give the right charisma to the Spartan king who must impersonate a pity that in the long run the lines expire ridiculous ("Our arrows shall hide the sun!" Then we shall fight in the shade ") and sometimes they know they have seen, or rather, heard (" Soldiers, do not charge until you see the whites of their eyes! ") . The other Spartans (but I'm counting three hundred Leonidas or not? In that case would be three hundred and one ... 301 Dalmatians! ) are good at flexing its muscle, but after yet another proof of how important it is for them to die with honor the bales begin to fall.
Another discordant note are the battles, in which a film of this kind are perhaps the most important thing. Despite the copious amounts of blood in CG - should give the same impression blood on paper, vabbeh - and the violence with which they felt the blows inflicted, Snyder trying to ruin everything a spectacle every time. A slow-motion effect every three (percent) second, effective the first time, annoying over the battles, which in my opinion seem to hear an embarrassing way to stretch a story that stops to say anything after the first half hour - in fact they have added quite a few parts to the comic. In the end, see heads and arms flying like nothing I gasava much, I was so accustomed to such violence by not sorting any effect.
Opinion final: a film that ideally should be seen only once in the cinema - the big screen makes the terrible figure - or, for those who can not use this service to logistical problems-historical, at maximum resolution and in the company of friends Saturday night.
Handle with care, so.
